• Worked closely with this community-based nonprofit devoted to building and supporting relationships with youth and families. In addition to designing fundraising materials, Kate Tallent participated in a project with teenage mothers and designed a large poster that was placed on the side of eight Baltimore city buses.

 

League of Conservation Voter
Washington, DC

• KTDC has been awarded the design of a brochure for this esteemed
organization. The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is the independent
political voice for the environment. To secure the environmental future of
our planet, LCV’s mission is to advocate for sound environmental policies
and to elect pro-environmental candidates who will adopt and implement such policies. KTDC could not be happier to have The League of Conservation Voters as a client.

 

The Louis August Jonas Foundation
Rhinebeck, NY

• Designed a brochure and folder for this organization committed to cultivating enlightened young leaders for a better world and helping young people grow intellectually, ethically and internationally. KTDC donated the editing of the text for the original brochure in 2005 as a token of good will for this worthwhile organization. In 2006 the brochure was redesigned with new photos and graphics for a very contemporary, fresh treatment. Brand congruity was maintained with brochure and folder design.

 

Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless
Rockville, MD

• Worked closely with this community-based nonprofit, which provides emergency shelter for homeless individuals and families in Montgomery County, Maryland. Kate Tallent designed an entire communications package that included an organizational logo, a brochure, stationery, a public relations kit, a folder and a print advertisement.

 

National Association for Environmental Managers
Washington, DC
• KTDC has been awarded a membership brochure for National Association for Environmental Managers (NAEM), the premier association for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Leadership Enhancement, is a non-profit, non-partisan educational association dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management. NAEM, formerly known as the National Association for Environmental Management, strives to improve awareness and use of efficient, effective leadership methods.

The Association works to enhance the competency and skills of its members by providing high caliber focused professional development opportunities through its programs, publications, and networking.

 

National Commission on Energy Policy
Washington, DC
• KTDC has been awarded numerous print projects about climate change and clean energy sources. As the momentum for mandatory climate programs grows, this booklet aims to show policy-makers how they might seek an approach that is not only politically viable but that fairly distributes the burdens of regulation and maximizes benefits.

Funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and its partners, the commission' bipartisan group of 20 of the nation's leading energy experts identifies and addresses the political and analytical barriers that have thwarted efforts at energy policy reform. They also conduct extensive outreach to the government, business, NGO and other communities. By taking a bipartisan, scientific and pragmatic approach, the commission seeks to build on and distinguish itself from past energy policy efforts.

 

National Freedom of Information Coalition
Columbia, MO
• KTDC has been awarded the redesign of the Web site of the National Freedom of Information Coalition which works to protect the public's right to oversee its government. NFOIC annually offers some $220,000 in grants to foster the creation and growth of state FOI coalitions to protect the public's right to an open government, following guidelines established by the Freedom of Information Act.

 

National Latina Health Network
Washington, DC

• Designed the new Web site for this organization, whose mission is to address critical health concerns affecting Latinas and their families. Also created a tradeshow display.

 

Pan American Health Organization
Washington, DC

• Created a cover illustration, book cover design and template for a series of health care books for this nonprofit. The Pan American Health Organization is an international public health agency with 100 years of experience in improving health and living standards in the Americas. It serves as the specialized organization for health of the Inter-American System.

 

Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press
Arlington, VA

• KTDC has been awarded numerous print projects for this nonprofit organization, which has been dedicated to providing free legal assistance to journalists since 1970. The committee is a major national — and international — resource in free speech issues. In the past three decades, the committee has played a role in virtually every significant press freedom case that has come before the U.S. Supreme Court.
