DC Central Kitchen, Inc.
Washington, DC

• KTDC has been awarded the design of the 2007 annual report and a brochure for this esteemed organization. In addition KTDC has also been awarded the design of partner organization Campus Kitchen's 2007 annual report.

DC Central Kitchen, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation that was incorporated on July 27, 1988 and began its first phase of operations on January 20, 1989, redistributing the excess food from the Presidential inauguration. The Kitchen was founded on the premise that when fighting poverty, one must fight to win by using every resource available.

Be it food, money, or people, the Kitchen hates to see wasted potential. Since its inception, DC Central Kitchen has used the kitchen as a central location to recover unused food, prepare and deliver meals to partner social service agencies, train and employ homeless men and women for the food service industry, and intellectually engage volunteers.

DC Central Kitchen is not a "soup kitchen." It's cohesive approach to solving the interconnected problems of poverty, hunger, and homelessness has led them to become a recognized national leader in their field.

KTDC is honored to have DC Central Kitchen, Inc. as a client.

Development Gateway Foundation
Washington, DC

• KTDC has been awarded the design of the 2006 annual report for the Development Gateway Foundation (DGF) in English, French and Spanish.

The Development Gateway Foundation is an international nonprofit organization that provides Web-based platforms to make aid and development efforts more effective around the world. Thanks to the power of the Internet, organizations dedicated to reducing poverty in developing nations have the potential to touch the lives of more people than ever.

More than half a billion Internet users today are in developing countries, and their numbers continue to grow. As in richer nations, this once unimaginable resource is being harnessed, along with other information and communications technologies (ICT), to improve education, health, agriculture, government, and business — sometimes in surprising ways.

In 2005, a global consensus emerged on the urgency of fighting poverty around the world. International leaders pledged to double aid to Africa and cancel the debt of the world’s poorest countries. Together with developing countries, they also pledged to change how aid is delivered and managed, to ensure greater development impact.

DGF’s programs support these efforts. They target areas where small investments in ICT can make an important difference, and where we can play a facilitating role. KTDC is pleased to be selected as the design firm for the annual report.
