African African-American Foundatin (AA-AF)
Washington, DC

• KTDC is delighted to provide all content, design and development of the African African-American Foundation (AA-AF) Website.

The African African-American Foundation (AA-AF) will reconnect African-Americans with Africans by reestablishing the history, genetic origins and ethnic identity of African-Americans lost during the era of American slavery. The mission of the organization is to empower and reunite Black people on both ContinentsÑand people of African descent throughout the Diaspora.

AA-AF will work to bridge the gap between Africans and African-Americans in three ways. First, it will encourage DNA testing for African-Americans so that they can discover their own genetic origins. Second, it will facilitate the study and understanding of the newfound ethnic and cultural identity by supporting work that makes relevant information easily accessible to African-Americans. Finally, in the future, it will establish a school to unite the two groups in an environment of learning to build mutual associations and cement the feeling of connection between the two groups.

KTDC is honored to be working with this esteemed organization.

Ashoka: Innovators for the Public
Arlington, VA

•Kate Tallent completely redesigned the Ashoka Web site as well as created print collateral for this global nonprofit, whose mission is to develop the profession of social entrepreneurship around the world. In March 2006, Ashoka sought Kate out to transform its site, which was outdated and was not managed consistently.

The large-scale project resulted in an improved Web site whose new look and improved experience would appeal to a varied audience: partner organizations, potential donors, job seekers, media, international audiences and social entrepreneurs. In addition, Co-op Tools created the Drupal Content Management System to allow Ashoka to update text and images.

Ashoka is a global community of leading social entrepreneurs — people with innovative, practical ideas for addressing social needs. Since its founding in 1980, Ashoka has launched more than 1,700 social entrepreneurs serving 70 countries. Ashoka's modest investments consistently yield extraordinary returns in national and international advancement in education, health, human rights, the environment, economic development and other areas of social concern.

Working with these social entrepreneurs, Ashoka builds communities of innovators who collaborate to transform society and design new ways for the citizen sector to become more productive, entrepreneurial and globally
integrated.
