Kate Tallent
Principal and Creative Director

Kate TallentAs creative and business lead of Kate Tallent Design & Communications, Kate Tallent brings heart, humanity and a hands-on approach to her work with clients from the nonprofit and business worlds. Connecting with people to develop creative design solutions, Kate has spent years honing her skills in art direction and management of print and web-based projects. She has a track record of passionate commitment to her clients' success.

Beginning as a volunteer at Emmaus House in Spanish Harlem, NY, and continuing when she lived for a summer at the Kids on the Hill headquarters in Baltimore, Kate maintains an inside view of nonprofits small and large. As the sole designer at the International Youth Foundation for five years, she managed graphic design and identity management for the organization, which promotes youth development in close to 70 countries. Kate has worked as a graphic designer for the publisher of Federal Computer Week, as a designer at the award-winning design studio Groff Creative and as a freelancer; her experience ranges from national and international companies with multimillion-dollar budgets to nonprofits operating on a shoestring.

Kate earned her master's degree from the University of Baltimore's cutting-edge Publications Design program. Kate's work has been recognized with numerous awards:

Having traveled to over twelve countries, Kate is particularly familiar with international issues. NGO clients greatly benefit from this international experience. Kate believes that an influential message and a compelling design is key to any project.

 

Will Bramlett
Junior Designer

Will BramlettDrawing since he could grip a pencil, Will Bramlett has always had an interest in visual communication from a very early age. Raised in the South, Will was introduced to the graphic design profession in high school. He would then go on to obtain his BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia.

As a junior designer at Kate Tallent Design and Communications, Will brings a fresh approach and desire to learn. Feeling well versed in print design and creating identity systems, Will would like to continue to expand his capabilities and knowledge. As a firm believer that design is one of the most important mediums of communication, Will desires to create unique yet clear approaches to solving conceptual problems for KTDC’s clientele.

 

 

Kathy Foltin
Senior Designer

Kathy FoltinWith a passion for mission-based communications, Kathy Foltin specializes in publications and conference identity work for nonprofits, associations, and public interest groups. She brings 16 years experience in art direction, design, and project management to KTDC.

Kathy started her career in the printing industry, developing hands-on skills in prepress production and cutting-edge printing techniques. She's created a range of visual solutions for clients such as Alliance for Justice, American Association of Museums, Human Rights Campaign, and Natural Resources Defense Council.

Comfortable with large-scale, long-term projects to a small-budget pieces, Kathy works closely with clients to ensure that their communications goals are met.

Kathy earned an M.A. in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore. She has been recognized by the Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program for Excellence in Communications and the Savannah Advertising Federation for her recent annual report work in the Southeast.
